Q: What system is in place to prevent shipment of defective products?

A: To prevent shipment of defective products, we have a product assessment and conformance auditing process in place. Each camshaft is visually inspected and checked with precision measuring tools at all stations throughout the remanufacturing process. A detailed product assessment is done by checking 10 percent of finished products by way of random sampling in our quality control room. Quality control personnel check and inspect camshafts in a well lit, environment-free inspection room. The following equipment is used in the inspection process: micrometers; hardness testers; surface testers; dial indicators; calipers; V-blocks; test housings and height gauges.
