Hard Chrome Plating is a major part of our operations at Hillcrest. Original dimensions are restored with our in-house chrome plating tanks. We have the ability to plate and machine camshafts up to 14 ft. in length. Chrome plating adds a layer of hardness, abrasion resistance, and reduces friction, which in turn increases RPMs, and horsepower. The chrome plating process increases the life for journals and bearing surfaces. In addition, we have recently acquired Hill Jan Plating in Nashville, Arkansas. Hill Jan has been specializing in hard chrome plating for over 30 years. They specialize in all types of plating such as: ID plating, OD plating, and flat surfaces, as well as all types of industrial applications.
